On the 7th of April the Rugby Business Network packed its bags and set sail for the majestic long white beaches of the Eastern Cape, where FinroCash and Carry were the hosts of some of their most valued customers and suppliers.
The fantastic facilities of Finro Cash and Carry was the venue for the evening where a fire was lit within seconds of the firsts guests arriving. A slightly smaller crowd than the Cape Town event assembled for what was an evening of beers, braaing, banter and a lot of laughter.
Bob Skinstad, who is the national chairman of the RBN in South Africa, opened the evening by welcoming everyone and telling them a little more about what it is that makes the Rugby Business Network so special.
Seartec were lucky to have Narita San and Roald Vermaak from Sharp SMEF join us for the evening. Roald was introduced by Bob and told us a little more about the value of digital advertising and how it is progressing in this country, as well as the major benefits of adopting this technology early.
After a short break where the guys were able to charge their glasses and clear their lungs it was time for our guest of the evening Luke Watson to give us a fascinating insight into the happenings of rugby in the Eastern Cape. His passion for the sport of rugby and development thereof in the region will be tough to find elsewhere in this country. When Luke isn’t plotting the rise of the EP Kings, he and his wife are heavily involved in their charity Love Story where they provide meals for the underprivileged people in the region. Fantastic work!
Again a game of “heads or tails” was played to hand out a few spot prizes to the people in attendance and some awesome 46664 shirts were given to our hosts Gawie, Delville, Joe and Tracy from Finro to show our appreciation.
As with every Rugby Business Network event it was great to see colleagues, suppliers, clients and friends, share a few laughs and discuss the game we all love. We look forward to the next event!
